Flood fury in Assam, Bihar; nearly 37 lakh affected & the helpless animals of wildlife sanctuaries need our Help.
Assamfloods : Over 50,000 displaced people are taking shelter at relief camps. The current wave of floods affected 28 lakh people in 27 districts and washed away houses, cattle stock. 1.28 lakh hectare crop areas are also under water.
While 97 people died in flood-related incidents, 26 were killed in landslides. Majority portion of national parks and wildlife sanctuaries are also under water. The ASDMA bulletin said the floods have so far claimed the lives of 127 animals of different species, while 157 others were rescued in Kaziranga National Park.
BiharFloods: The flood situation in Bihar has worsened after continuous heavy rain in the state for the past few days. Seven people have died due flood-related incidents so far and over 10.6 lakh in the state are affected.
